FLOWERING PLANTS OF KERALA- CD
FLORA OF KERALA - CHECKLIST
One of the major hurdles in conserving the biodiversity is the lack of precise taxonomic inventory of the living organisms. Angiosperms or the Flowering plants are the principal plant community in Kerala. The State has not yet prepared a comprehensive flora of its own, though flora of most of the Districts as well as Protected areas have been studied during the last three decades.  These studies have brought out very valuable data on the flora of Kerala, particularly on the endemic as well as threatened plants.  The Kerala Forest Research Institute has brought out an updated electronic checklist (CD) on the Flowering Plants of Kerala.

This CD contains brief write-ups on location, phytogeography of the state, geology and soil, climate, characteristic features and typical species of vegetation types, important agricultural and horticultural crops. More details: Flowering Plants of Kerala.
