Our research interest is in asymmetric synthesis. We develop new methodologies based on directed metallations for introducing chirality at the phosphorus center and then we apply this chemistry for accessing to multifunctional materials. We concentrate on properties such as catalysis, molecular magnetism and conductivity of P-chirogenic systems coordinated to metals of the d and f blocks. Also central to our work are the multinuclear magnetic resonance invstigation of reaction mechanisms and NMR based metabolic profiling of microalgae.
