Last year, we were fortunate enough to have found several wonderful researchers to provide us guidance. Full details are available under the 2010 season project experts page. Dr. Gottfried even took the time to write a blog post about our interaction. What we learned from them helped the team to win a state award for the most innovative project in Georgia for 2010.
This year, with the help of our parent website mentor Mrs. Westin, we decided to list all our work on the website. So Under First LEGO League 2011 Season you will find (as we build it) information on our project, the mission, and our journal of how solved the missions we worked on under the mission plan. Although we did the work, Mrs. Westin helped us edit it and organize our thoughts. Our goal was to keep it simple just list what we are supposed to do then how we did it. Nothing fancy, just the facts.
As with each year, we hope our project and missions pay respect to the goals and founders of first LEGO League. Like Dean Kamen, Founder of FIRST LEGO League, who offered his vision for FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology):
Faith Lutheran School offers challenging academics in a Christ-centered environment from pre-school through 8th grade. The staff is committed to connecting people to Jesus. The school features limited class size and personal attention. The staff are experienced and innovative educators providing a loving and nurturing atmosphere that strengthens children academically and gives them a strong Christian foundation.
Thank you for visiting our web site. We hope you have found this informative. If you are a fellow LEGO team, we hope we helped your project or robot in some way. We have drawn our relationship with the Mighty Knights from Maryland and found many on-line resources posted by other teams, we can only hope you find ours useful to you. If you are interested in what we have done leave us a note by adding comments on our friends page. It's just a click away.
