These are some of the sites I have looked at to see if any interesting live music is playing locally.  These can range from caffes to concert halls to stadiums and so on.  I would also like to let you know I have not been to most of these places so I cannot say whether the place is decent place to visit.  I added most of them because they either sounded interesting or the have been or are planning on having a band I would be interested in hearing.  If & when I do visit one of these establishments, I'll write a little ditty out beside it.
  • AllGood Cafe -- Dallas, TX
  • Bend Studio --
  • Camerata Winds
  • Club SMACK -- Dallas, TX
  • Dallas Symphony Orchestra -- Dallas, TX
  • Dan's Silver Leaf -- Denton, TX
  •  The Door -- Dallas, Ft. Worth, Plano, & Canton, TX
  • Dreamworld Music Complex -- Arlington, TX
  • House of Blues: Dallas -- I have only been here once but I do plan on going back several times.  There is a full bar so if being around drinking makes you uncomfortable you may want to find another place.  The floor gets very crowded & no one will let you by so, come early, use the restroom, & stake your claim on your spot of concrete.  There is also a bit of confusion as to whether cameras are allowed.  One of my friends attended once & they made them leave their cameras but when we went no one asked about it.  One more thing, parking is a pain & takes forever so be sure to bring lots of patience with you, & good shoes (your feet will be killing you by the end of the night).
  • Living Out Loud
  • Road Less Traveled
  • SHOUTfest
  • Theatre7 -- Plano, TX -- "The vision of Theater7 is relationship.  The youth of today want it and need it.  We desire a venue where people from all over can come and build relationships with band members, band to bands, and friend to friend, all in an atmosphere where Love, compassion, and respect live. No matter where you have come from or where you have been, Love has been there and will always be there. We desire to meet this generation right where they are at with compassion and respect.  Regardless of what we see, we know that Love is moving on the hearts and minds of this generation.  We choose of LOVE."
  • Sons of Hermann Hall -- Dallas, TX
  • White Rock Coffee -- Dallas, TX

Most of these are Christian rock bands, because, well, that's what I like but if you have any other suggestions, just let me know.  Some of these bands are no longer together but are just too great not to list. These are not necessarily my favorite bands or even bands I've ever actually listened to that much.  Mainly, they are bands that are played fairly regularly on Power 89.7 or have a connection to other Christian artists or record labels.
