Fire, Law Enforcement & EMS Memorial Project

This years parade is June 2, 2013 with a start time of 9 a.m. The memorial was placed on May 30, 2013.  Boscawen Elementary 3rd Graders raised $571.67 on a car was and donated all of the money to the project.

Thank you to all who supported the project over the past year.  Many thanks to Perry Bros. Monuments, City of Concord, Cemetery Division, Boscawen Fire Department, my family, community members, Fire, Law Enforcement and EMS agencies, businesses, Boscawen Elementary 3rd Graders and all those who made donations or otherwise supported the project.

History
  • The parade began in the early 1900’s and continues to this day.
  • Originally the parade started out as just Concord police and Fire personnel. Over the years the parade has grown and now includes many agencies from Merrimack County.
  • This is a local event where we can all come together and remember the countless law enforcement, fire/rescue personnel and safety volunteers from the county who have served their communities and have now passed on.
  • The parade starts at North Main Street in Boscawen, goes to the Woodlawn Cemetery to name those who have either retired or passed away, and ends at the Manor Fire Station in Penacook.
Donations can be made payable to: Boscawen Firefighters-Memorial Fund

Donations can be mailed to Cameron Bailey, Attn: Fire, Law Enforcement & EMS Memorial Project, 319 Queen Street Boscawen, NH, 03303.

Although the name on the bank account is listed as "Boscawen Firefighters Memorial Fund", the memorial is intended for Fighters, Law Enforcement and EMS personnel from the Central NH area and beyond. It was necessary to include "Boscawen Firefighters" in the account in order to utilize the Boscawen Fire Department's Federal Identification number.
