New Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library is a volunteer group of citizens who are proud to support our city-county library in a variety of ways: through monetary support with a membership in the Friends, through volunteering to serve on the Board of Directors, through volunteering to help with used book sales, and on fund raising events.

"The Friends of the Fayetteville-Lincoln County Public Library maintain a designated area within the library for the resale of used hardback books. Monies generated from these sale go to the Friends of the Library organization to benefit the library.

With limited storage space, we request that you look through your donations before you bring them to the library. The Friends of the Library only accept fiction and non-fiction hardback books for resale. The books must be in good to excellent condition with a copyright date within the past 10 years. Yellowed, water-damaged, or mildewed books will not be accepted for resale. We cannot accept text books, encyclopedias, examination practice books, or cassette tapes."
