I'm sorry to announce that Your Benevolent Host, Pat Flanagan, died Thursday, Dec. 19 of cancer. Pat was a great friend to many, and he will be sorely missed. Pat is survived by his wife Melissa and his children Emma and Patrick. Melissa had the following to say:
"...My husband Pat Flanagan, lost his battle with cancer yesterday, December 19. He fought valiantly until the end, but the $&@/ing cancer won this fight. The kids and I are humbled by all the love and support we have received throughout this entire past 6 weeks. Please know I have read every [Facebook] post and message that has been sent and have enjoyed all the kind words, prayers, stories, and encouragement we have received."
For those who want to make a donation, "The family asks that in lieu of flowers, consider directing a gift to the education fund for Emma and Patrick, Mr. and Mrs. Flanagan's children. Donations may be sent to the Friends of the Celtic Academy (FOCA), c/o The Celtic Academy of Irish Dance, 85 Woodman Drive, Riverside, OH 45431."
We want everybody to know that Flanagan's Pub still serves its patrons with great food and drink. We look forward to serving you.
