My relationships
- Friends are important to everyone, however some of those we call friends do not have our best interests at heart, or at least lead us away from God. 1 Corinthians 15:33
- Family relationships are also important to us; however these too can make it difficult for us to be fully committed to God's purpose for us and His call upon our life. Matthew chapter 8
- There are however relationships that God requires us to make every effort to maintain, these are:
- Love your enemies - Jesus commands us in the New Testament, as well as sets us an example on the cross, that we should love our enemies. Matthew 5:43-48
My thoughts
- Our minds can become a great battlefield; a place where the devil, the enemy of our souls (1 Peter 5:8), can challenge us causing us to take our eyes off of Jesus, stumble and fall. Ephesians 6:10-20
- Areas where the Devil can tempt us in our minds:
- Our thoughts can be bombarded in such a way that we are confused and feel unable to make righteous decisions
- The Bible says we should take control of our thoughts - 2 Corinthians 10:5
- We are also encouraged to renew our minds - Romans 12:2
