Concealed Carry

The Concealed Carry Course offered by First State Firearms Training covers all of the training topics required by the State of Delaware as outlined in 11 Del. C. § 1441 to apply for a Concealed Carry of a Deadly Weapon (CCDW) Permit. Our Instructors and curriculum are approved by the Delaware Attorney General's Office. Instruction will be given on the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition, child safety in regards to firearms and ammunition, safe firearm shooting fundamentals, how to develop and maintain firearm shooting skills, Federal and State laws pertaining to lawful purchase, ownership, transportation, use and possession of firearms, State laws pertaining to the use of deadly force for self defense, and techniques for avoiding a criminal attack and how to manage a violent confrontation, including conflict resolution.

Additionally a live fire exercise consisting of 100 rounds will be conducted at a range. While we encourage students to bring the firearm they plan to use for carry, we understand that some students may not have selected or purchased it yet. During the course topics will be covered and questions answered pertaining to firearm choices for CCDW as well as ammunition types, concealment options, etc... This will provide the student with a higher knowledge base when choosing their equipment. Firearms are available for rent from First State Firearms Training.
