How do I join First Baptist Church Old Hickory?

We are all sinners who are in need of God’s forgiveness.  If you know in your heart that you are a lost sinner and in need of forgiveness then you can find that forgiveness by trusting in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.  At the response time during a service you may come to the pastor and express your desire to trust in Christ and follow in believer’s baptism.  Or you may contact the pastor at any other time to discuss this life changing decision.

If you are a Christian and a member of another Baptist church you can unite with First Baptist Church by Letter.  Come at the response time during a service and let the minister know that you are interested in uniting by Letter.  We’ll then request your membership letter from the Baptist church where you are currently a member.

You want to be a member of First Baptist Church, but your membership is with a church of another evangelical affiliation or a Baptist church that is no longer in existence.  You can unite with us by statement (1) that you have trusted in Christ as your personal Savior; and (2) that you have experienced believer’s baptism by immersion under the authority of the local church.

Those who join by baptism, letter or statement are expected to attend the New Member Orientation class. You’ll be notified when this class will meet.
