International Danish FINN Championship 17th-19th August 2017
Venue: Nykøbing Sjælland, 1 hour drive from Copenhagen, is a small town with a buzzing life in summertime, day and night. The region is called ‘Denmarks Riviera’ for obvious reasons. There are many activities for young and old, wifes and children, to experience while we sail. Follow this link to learn more about the region: http://www.visitodsherred.com/ln-int/holiday/denmark/odsherred/tourist/information/holiday-homes
Race area: A sheltered area in the Isefjord offering good wind conditions for Finn racing.
Services: As usual at our Danish Championship all sailors will be treated with breakfast, lunchpackets and dinner as well as being able to purchase beverages from the bar. Camping and Camper site close to the harbor as well as opportunities to rent holiday homes in the neighbourhood. The Danish fleet will to a large extent also camp at the venue during the event.
Logistics: The Championship is coordinated calendar wise with our Scandinavian friends to make it an opportunity for non-Scandinavians to participate in 2 Scandinavian championships within 10 days. Nykøbing Sjælland is easily approached from the Storebælt bridge in the west, from the german ferry connections in the south as well as from the bridge and ferries to Sweden in the east.
Registration: Look out for the posting of more information in spring 2017 on the Danish Finn website.
We look forward to welcoming you!
