Finite Element Method is an essential tool to solve PDEs. We invite everyone interested to sign up to give a talk or just attend.

Location and Times

The Friday session will start at 1:30pm, while the Saturday session will start at 9am. Both sessions will be host in Innovation Hall 105. For a map of campus, please see the next section.

Reservations for all guests, at the above special rate, must be received on or before February 26, 2015. After the cut-off data, the hotel will release any unreserved rooms for general sale and, in the hotel's discretion, will accept reservations at the special discounted rate, on a space and rate available basis.

Residence Inn is the more convenient offer since it provides shuttle transportation to campus.

Directions to George Mason University from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

The campus is located at 4400 University Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Using metro and bus:

Take the blue line toward Largo Town Center. Switch to the orange line toward Vienna (Fairfax-GMU) at Rosslyn metro station. In order to catch the CUE bus, you will need to get off at the Vienna metro station (Fairfax-GMU). Finally, take either the CUE bus or the Mason Shuttle to Mason's Fairfax Campus. Update: In order to use the Mason Shuttle, you will need to have a mason ID. We encourage participants to use the CUE bus.

Directions to George Mason University from Dulles International Airport

Using metro and bus:

Take the Silver Line Express bus and get off at Wiehle-Reston East metro station. Take the silver line toward Largo Town Center. Switch to the orange line toward Vienna (Fairfax-GMU) at East-Falls Church metro station. In order to catch the CUE bus, you will need to get off at the Vienna metro station (Fairfax-GMU). Finally, take either the CUE bus or the Mason Shuttle to Mason's Fairfax Campus. Update: In order to use the Mason Shuttle, you will need to have a mason ID. We encourage participants to use the CUE bus.

Parking

All participants are welcome to park (without charge) in parking lot A. For a map of lot A, please download the file at the bottom of this page.

Lunch on Friday

There are several lunch options on- and off-campus for those who arrive early on Friday. The on-campus options are given in this map, I personally recommend Southside dining. If you want to dine off-campus, please check this guide.
