Welcome to the University of Illinois Army ROTC!

Army ROTC is an elective curriculum you take along with your required college classes.  It gives you the tools, training and experiences that will help you succeed in any competitive environment.  Along with great leadership training, Army ROTC could help pay for college tuition or room and board.  Because Army ROTC is an elective, you can participate your Freshman and Sophomore years without obligation to join the Army when you graduate.  You will have a normal college student experience like everyone else on campus.

It’s How Students Become Leaders

Army ROTC (Reserve Officer’s Training Corps) is one of the best leadership courses in the country and can be part of your college curriculum.  Being a student at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and learning to become a leader could enrich your college experience and prepare you for future leadership roles in the corporate world and beyond.

Who We Are Looking For

Those who succeed in Army ROTC are students that excel academically and want “something more” than the typical college experience.  Generally these students are Scholars, Athletes and Leaders who have a desire to remain physically and mentally fit and take on roles of greater responsibility than their peers.
