Welcome to Fidelium Animæ "Faithful Souls." This is a site that encourages you to find a neglected grave site and adopt it. The rules are simple: find a grave that appeals to you -- a child, an individual with no family in the surrounding plot, any grave that appears neglected and adopt it. Make an effort to visit the grave and on holidays, leave flowers and say a prayer for the soul.
This can be a lot of fun -- go to familysearch, a free database from the LDS, input the birth and death dates and see what pops up. Work up a family tree. It is up to you how involved you wish to be.
For those with children or who are homeschooling, use this as a lesson in genealogy. Have fun and remember those who have walked here before us! Fidelium animæ, per misericordiam Dei, requiescant in pace. Amen.

One of my favorite cemeteries -- Mount Hope Cemetery,
Belleville, Illinois, in the autumn. For a video about Mount Hope click here.
