Capital Fibre Fest is organised by volunteer members of the Upper Hutt Spinners and Weavers group and is held within our local community and for the benefit of all wool and yarn based crafters of any ethnicity. You do not have to be a member of creative Fibre to attend. The 2021 event is on Saturday 10 July from 10-3 pm at Expressions Whirinaki Upper Hutt https://www.facebook.com/ExpressionsArtsCentre. There is plenty of free parking and it is close to train, bus and local shops and cafes. While some traders do have Eftpos it is a good idea to bring cash. A koha kitchen is available for a cup of tea or coffee, bring your reusable keep cups to reduce waste. There is also the Dough cafe and bakery on-site for barrister coffee and meals. There is plenty of seating so bring your current project and be prepared to make lots of new friends and learn new skills.
The Capital Fibre fest event was first held in 2018 and continues to grow, with plans for separate room with workshops and/or speakers in future years once the extension to Expressions is complete.
