This weekend update is to help both students and parents stay informed with what is up and coming in my classes as well as at our FHS community! Mid-Cycle #1 Grades/Narratives have been mailed home. Take the time to read comments and reflect on what you need to do to continue learning and be successful.

B block : Senior Institute Humanities  Read "A White Woman of Color" to help you with your final assessment.  Remember your rough draft is due on Oct. 17th for peer editing and final draft due on Oct. 20th.  I will not see you until Oct. 16th, so if you need help you need to see me before then.  The final assessment can be found on my class page that is linked to - just click on Humanities and Facing Today.

D block: Global Media Studies  We will wrap up our study of the Crusades, Feudalism and the Golden Ages this week. Always practice on your own at

E block: AP US History Keep practicing for the regents at Complete the Primary Source analysis: "Declaration of Independence"
Continue to work on your newspaper final assessment. We will not have any more class time to work on the assessment, so if you need help, make sure you stay afterschool and I ca help you out. The newspaper project is due on Friday, October 17th. Your final test for the American Revolution is also on October 17th.

Advisory - Please complete information packet, blue cards, lunch forms, field trip forms etc. and please study for your PSATs!!! 

Leadership  - Make sure you poll your advisory and ask them what type of room they want to host for our Halloween Celebration.
