National Pollinator Week 6/18-6/24/18

Learn about the many animals that pollinate our northeast Florida plants during National Pollinator Week.  Public events going on in our "back yards" include: 


The Bees are Back!  On 6/20 from 3-4PM GTM Research Reserve is offering an Afternoon Insight into the native bees that call northeast Florida home.  See the native bee collection, take a walk in the native plant garden, and listen to research-based findings guaranteed to improve your understanding and increase your appreciation for these industrious pollinators.  

Camp Florida-Friendly Classes  Pick a day, or take all three classes on June 25, 27, or 29 at the Duval UF/IFAS County Extension Center.  Each class starts at 9:30 and ends at 2PM.  Each day has a different focus:  gardening for local wildlife, plant identification, or basic horticultural skills.  Bring a brown bag lunch; drinks and snacks provided.  
  • Mail your check for $10-per-class, payable to  Camp Florida Friendly, to Duval Extension, 1010 N. McDuff Ave., Jacksonville, FL  32254It must be received by June 18 to reserve your place.
