About This Website: www.district4ffgc.org

Hello fellow gardeners!

We have a new website with a new name:

www.district4ffgc.org

We hope you find this site, designed and built for YOU by your fellow District IV members, useful!  It showcases District IV activities and announcements and provides information you can use to contact member clubs/circles, as well as District officers and chairmen.  Like a garden, a website is always a work in progress.  :-)

The links on the left sidebar take you to the major sections within this site.  Note that there is a Sitemap  link that lists all the pages here. There is also a Search feature shown in the upper right-hand corner of each page. The documents are in Adobe PDF form.  If you cannot open them, download the free Adobe PDF Reader

If you have questions about this site, please use the Contact link.

Director's Message

Jan Litchfield

Jan Litchfield
District IV Director 2017-2019

Theme:  Reach out... and share the Beauty!

[Jan is former president of the Poinsettia Circle and Garden Club of St. Augustine, and has held numerous offices in each. As District Director, she is also on the Board of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs (FFGC).]

I am honored to be your District IV Director for 2017-2019 and look forward to taking part in some exciting activities that our clubs are planning. We have more than 1500 members within the 14 clubs in our northeast Florida district;  each club has a unique perspective of their community involvement and membership needs.

My theme for this term is Reach out... and share the Beauty!

I am challenging each club in the district to develop at least one new community service project where they work with plants or flowers to enable people in their areas to learn about gardening, design, or the environment.
I am excited about some of the programs that are already being planned.

Please be on the lookout for  various learning opportunities for our members and others within the District -- whether it is a new series of design classes, our Garden Fest this fall (which will offer wonderful speakers and CEU credits for Master Gardeners), our Symposium in the spring, an Environmental School, and other events. Thanks to our web manager, Dianne Battle, who will list activities that are taking place around us.

And as your liaison between our members and the National Garden Clubs and Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, I plan to keep you all posted about additional available opportunities for us all.

It is wonderful to be a Garden Club member!  I'm passionate about this organization and our members. We are always looking for new people to join us. Feel free to contact me at my personal email address, jlitchfield73@att.net, or use the information on the Contact page on the website to send any questions you may have about what is available in your community.
