    The Florida Faculty Development Consortium is an open-membership group of faculty developers and instructional designers, available to all institutions of higher learning in the state of Florida. Membership is free. FFDC activity is usually concentrated around bi-annual conferences (also free), held in a different location each time throughout the state. New members are encouraged to join the listserv.

    Primary Goals of the Consortium
    1. Targeting special audiences: adjuncts, new faculty, GTAs, etc.
    2. Focus on SoTL; applicability at all types of FL institutions
    3. Sharing

    4. Invite each other for presentations/workshops
    5. Advocacy
      • Lobby legislature at Federal and State level
      • Recommend administrative policy at state and local level that support teaching
      • Defend faculty development with data and evidence

      • Conference on core teaching skills
      • Bi-annual meeting
