She began teaching in 2003 at the Miami Museum of Science where she taught 3D Computer Animation and Web Design. From 2003-2007, Ms. Ketcham was the Technology Coordinator and High School Technology and Business Instructor at the Greater Miami Hebrew Academy. She taught courses at the High School level including Computer Applications, Web Design, Graphic Design, Video Editing, Computer Programming, Personal Finance, Accounting, Management, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. Ms. Ketcham also taught remedial Language Arts/Reading, Mathematics, and computer enrichment courses at the elementary and middle school level.
Ms. Ketcham is currently employed at the Aventura City of Excellence School (ACES) (www.aventuracharter.org), a charter school with 900 students in grades K-8 in Aventura, Florida. At ACES she has teaches middle school Web Design and Computer Applications. In June, 2008 she became Technology Coordinator and now assists faculty with integrating technology into the curriculum and grade book management in addition to her teaching responsibilities.
She is also teaches evening and weekend introductory computer courses at Miami-Dade College and LOGO programming at the Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science.
Ms. Ketcham was one of two teachers in the nation who received the Thompson-Murdock Fellowship for Innovative Teachers in the summer of 2008. The winning project, Integration of Web 2.0 Technology in a Cross-Curriculum Project, was completed this past fall and is being presented at the Florida Educational Technology Conference in January 2009.
Current Florida Teaching Certifications include grades K-12 Computer Science, grades 6-12 Business Education, grades K-6 Elementary Education, grades K-12 Exceptional Student Education, and an ESOL Endorsement.
