Information / History
The Ebor Festival is a four day horse racing meet that takes place at York Racecourse in August. The festival has been taking place since 1843 and the most famous race to take place is Ebor Handicap which has the largest flat Handicap in Europe. The festival is famous for its mix of high quality racing alongside high glamour and high fashion. Last year’s festival was attended by more than 93,000 people. Each race day normally has around 6 races

Wednesday 21st August – Juddmote International
Thursday 22nd August – Darley Yorkshire Oaks and Ladies Day
Friday 23rd August – Coolmore Nunthorpe stakes
Saturday 24th August – Ebor Day

Entry Cost
There are 3 Standard Prices for each day of the festival
County Stand Enclosure - £49
Grandstand and Paddock  Enclosure - £25.50
Course Enclosure - £8

There are also 3 Standard Prices for the Entire Festival
County Stand Enclosure - £175
Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure - £78
Course Enclosure - £22

Attendees in the Course Enclosure have to remain in this enclosure. Those in the Grandstand and Paddock are able to also go into the Course Enclosure. Those in the County Enclosure are able to enter any of the enclosures. Those attending the County Stand are expected to adhere to the dress codes.

Food and Drink
Those attendees situated in the Course Enclosure can bring their own food and drink as well as been able to buy from a food and drink court. Those who are in the Grandstand and Paddock are not permitted to being in their own food but there are a number of bars, stalls and restaurants in which to purchase food and drink. Those attending the County Stand are able to benefit from the facilities available in the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure. Within the County Stand area there are also further bars and restaurants including a champagne bar and  seafood restaurant.

Travelling to York Ebor Festival

By Plane:
The nearest airport is Leeds / Bradford Airport which is in Yeadon. York Racecourse is about a 30 minutes drive from the airport.
By Train:
York Train Station is a 15 minute walk away
By Car:
There is onsite parking at York Racecourse which can cater for the majority of attendees.

Camping and Accommodation
There are a number of quality hotels within walking distance of the Racecourse and York City Centre is a 15 minutes’ walk away
