Professor Fernand Bézy (1922 - 2007)

This web site is dedicated to the memory of Fernand Bézy, Professor Emeritus of the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) in Belgium.
Through the originality of his thought process and the strength of his personality, he has played a pioneering role in developing a new thinking on development, an open and critical break with the often arrogant self satisfaction that had characterized the discourse of colonial and metropolitan authorities until the independence. His innovative approach has earned him very quickly intellectual recognition of groups affected by the changes taking place across Africa in the process of decolonization.

Later in his career,
he wrote about life-after-death experiences, collecting a great deal of anecdotal information about these experiences. He also researched the history of the origin of the catholic church.

The objective of this web site is to share the life history of Professor
Fernand Bézy, to make all his publications available to visitors of the site and to invite visitors to contribute to the site by sharing their views about those publications and their souvenirs of Fernand
Bézy. They can also help with the English translation of the documents.
