Currently, I am a third year graduate student at the University of Connecticut. I received my Bachelor in Dutch Language and Culture and my Masters in Linguistics from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. My work focuses on morpho-syntax and morphology. Topics I am working on on are:

  • Phi-Features:
    • Person portmanteaux agreement; 
    • Agreement patterns in Dutch dialects; 
    • The distribution of dedicated impersonal pronouns in Germanic; 
  • Verb movement:
    • Conjunct & independent order in Arapaho & Algonquian and the relation with V-C movement;
  • Word structure:
    • Derivational affixes and the relation between stress-assignment and the categorial (in)flexibility 
    • The syntactic nature of the Dutch prefix be-
