But sought the God of his father and walked in his Commandments.

(II Chron. 17:4)

  Jehoshaphat was one of the better kings of Judah and saw much success. So what made him successful? He sought the Lord. His life became centered in God and His Word. This was not just a cold legalism, but he delighted in the Lord. He rid the land of idols and had the Word of God proclaimed throughout Judah.

  So how is it with you and with me? Do we seek the Lord in our daily lives? Is our life centered in our God and His Word? Like Jehoshaphat do we walk in God’s commandments? Are we enjoying the Lord daily? If we do this we will be successful spiritually.
