As well as creating his own works of art, he has bought and commissioned various works of art, sculpture and misc. over the last decade.

NEWS 2016

In 2016 Jonathan FeBland published a comedy/satire/farce Doctor Fish and a book of (mainly) Nonsense Verse - Poetastery.

In Summer 2016 'Colours for Clarinet' was released by JM Santandreau (Cl.) and Christian A. Esteve Zinsser (Pf)

A number of different Composers are setting the poems in Poetasery as songs for publication in Summer 2017.

He also composed a new work Clarinet Overture (a pocket concerto) written for (and edited by) soloist and prof. of Clarinet, Mark Walton.

This also exists in Cello Version written for (and edited by) Spaglish Cellist (and 'hobby Composer') David Johnstone.

He is currently working on a book about Bridge entitled The Genius of the Weak No Trump.

In 2017 he plans to write a new stage play (another comedy/satire/farce) set in London.

Publishers Bardic Edition and Samuel King are bringing another 74 of his shorter works into print by early 2017.

About a dozen private art collectors are now displaying his paintings and he has one work in the permanent collection of MOBA (Boston, USA).

NEWS 2017

So far ~ mid-February update

In 2017 Simon J. Proctor has (already by end January) set all 63 of the poems in Poetastery as a two-hour long song-cycle. We now await a date for the premiere.

In addition, other Composers have set as follows: 4,1,1,1 & 1 poem (so far !) Mr S.J. Proctor is winning by at least 59. So 'Hats off Gentlemen' etc. etc.

Other news in 2017 - There is now a Cello version of the Clarinet Overture entitled 'Concertino for Cello' - edited and dedicated to David Johnstone (a 'Spanglish' Cellist of immense versatility & self-named "hobby-composer" who has written at least one stupendous masterpiece of a 'level one' quality - so well done David. It's not so easy being a Professional full-time Composer, is it ?).

There are plans in the pipeline for a premiere of Doctor Fish (Comedy/Satire/Farce) to be held some time between March and May 2018 at a London Theatre. Co- Produced by Thomas J. Champ there are still many decisions to be made regarding actors and venue, but an update will appear here sooner rather than later.

The Znethru channel over at YouTube continues to flourish with Mr. B #2 starring in approx. a dozen of the latest available video programmes, so please do feel free to catch up on the free entertainment which is also ad-free at the moment, but will shortly be monetized which will cause a 5-second delay ~ a mild peeve which we can all live with for the extra $$$ it will put into Jonathan's Piggy Bank.

He is currently studying Chaucer in the original (mainly because he so loves the spellings they had in the olden days!)

Jonathan FeBland's page is open to the public on FaceBook. Kindly refrain from using bad language, as this kind of thing will be removed quickly the first time and if repeated a more severe punishment will be imposed i.e. you get one chance and one chance only if you overstep the mark on his facebook page a second time, you get to walk the plank and those crocodiles look hungry to me. You can also follow him there should you so desire.

His Twitter nom-de-guerre is much harder to trace as he runs an operation akin to MI5 in the real world.

FeBland is an equal opportunities meritocrat, generally concurring with the well known adage that ~ 'When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him'. [ Jonathan Swift ]

Jonathan Swift (30 November 1667 – 19 October 1745) was an Anglo-Irish satirist, essayist, political pamphleteer (first for the Whigs, then for the Tories), poet and cleric who became Dean of St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin.

Vote now - to put Oscar Wilde on the back of the new £50 note - it's about time, honestly. Another FeBland original idea 19th February, 2017.
