ABOUT US: The Fashion Doll Club of the Rockies is a group of fun and creative people who love fashion dolls. The club was founded in 1995 and meets monthly. Our members collect all kinds of fashion dolls, like Barbie, Gene, the Tonner dolls, Kitty, Ken, Sybarites, and others. We also hosted the 2002 National Barbie Doll Convention in Denver.
MEETINGS: Our meetings are always fun! We have a Show 'n Tell session where members bring in their latest finds and treasures. We have a door prize drawing (for members only) and usually a raffle or two for a beautiful new doll. Plus we either play a game, learn a craft, make something, or listen to a guest speaker. Members are also allowed to bring in a few items to sell. And we also provide light refreshments, of course!
Occasionally we go on a field trip or hold the meeting at a member's home to view their doll collection, but usually our meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of the month, at the Koelbel Library at 5955 S. Holly St. in Centennial, from 2 to 4:30 pm. See the meeting schedule for dates, themes, and photos. We hope you can join us sometime.
Proceeds from our auctions and Christmas raffle go to our current charity,
The Gateway Battered Women's Shelter in Aurora, CO.
