613R - Community Educational Access Channel

Organizations who sponsor school and student-related activities which will be allowed access to the community educational access channel include, but are not limited to, the following: P.T.O.’s, Booster Clubs, Frederick County Educational Foundation, and Bright Futures-Frederick County. The superintendent of schools may allow additional organizations access to the community educational access channel if it is determined the information presented for broadcast contributes to the advancement of the school division.    
1. Access to the community educational access channel by school-related organizations shall be on a space available basis. 
 
2. All information which school-related organizations desire to have broadcast on the community educational access channel must have the prior approval of the superintendent of schools or designee. 
 
3. Frederick County Public Schools reserves the exclusive right to determine the frequency and content of all material which is presented for broadcast on the community educational access channel. 
 
4. School-related organizations may not use the community educational access channel for fund raising purposes without the prior approval of the superintendent of schools or designee. 
 
5. Following review by the superintendent of schools, school-related organizations may be assessed a fee for the use of the community educational access channel, if deemed appropriate.
