409P - School Attendance Areas

The school board, upon the recommendation of the superintendent, shall designate school attendance zones.  The establishment of school attendance zones shall be based on the following criteria:  the number of students in the zone, the distance from home to school, the age of students and the grades attended, geographic or hazardous conditions, school facility capacity and such other guidelines as may be imposed. 

Students shall attend the school in their attendance zone as established by the school board unless assigned to a different school by the superintendent or designee pursuant to procedures adopted by the superintendent.
