Magazines in the Library with Fashion Photos

There are print magazines shelved on the 2nd floor in front of the Help Desk that may be helpful. They are shelved in alphabetical order by title:

 GQ--Gentlemen's Quarterly

Ladies' Home Journal

For fashion in the past, take a look at Life and Vogue.

Life  (Life magazine goes back to 1936 if you are researching 20th century fashion trends)

Vogue (The library has July 1930 to Dec. 1976 then from Jan. 2000 to present)

Subscription Databases for Finding Articles

To access the subscription databases, click on Find Articles on the library homepage.

Select EBSCOhost Service, then EBSCOhost web.   Select the databases that are appropriate for your topic.  (Academic Search Premier and MasterFILE Premier are multi-disciplinary databases. Academic Search Premier includes over 3,700 peer-reviewed full-text articles.)

  1. Enter your search terms.  If you do not select a particular field, you will be searching in all the fields.
  • If you check the Full Text box, you retrieve only records that contain the "full-text" or complete article.
  • If you do not check the box, you retrieve records with the complete article as well as records with citations and only an abstract (summary).
