Welcome

Francis is a Ghanaian, born and raised in Sekondi, located in the Western Region of Ghana. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi - Ghana, and worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant in the same university. He received his master’s and doctoral degrees in Statistics from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2017 and 2018 respectively.

Currently, Francis is a Research Assistant Professor of IT, Analytics and Operations at the Mendoza College of Business in University of Notre Dame. His main research interests include sequential analysis, nonparametric statistics, econometrics, statistical disclosure control and data utility with application in psychology, economics and business. He has several publications in several reputable journals and also serves as a reviewer for Psychological Methods and Journal of Applied Statistics. His current teaching roles involves teaching statistics related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

As a self-motivated, well organized and detail-oriented person, Francis is able to work effectively both in a team and as an individual and manage multiple tasks with less or no supervision. He's highly proficient in several statistical packages, such as SAS, R, Stata, among others. He also works with Matlab, LaTeX, Microsoft Office products, VBA, and many others. Aside his expertise, he's open minded and always willing to learn and explore new things.

Statistics and it's application in other disciplines, like Economics, Psychology, Politics, etc, are not the only fun stuff that Francis enjoys. He, as well, enjoys photography, drawing, painting and graphics designing. He also likes volunteering and participating in service events in the community.
