Fayetteville 5K Poker Run - March 8th

Come join us on Saturday, March 8th, for the 4th annual Fayetteville 5K Poker Run.  Start and finish will be at the Fayetteville Square, and an after race party will be held at West Mountain/Tim's Pizza, where winners will be announced and prizes will be won!  We will donate all proceeds to the Humane Society of the Ozarks this year to support our furry friends.
Why are we calling this 5K a "poker" run?
At each "k", runners will grab a playing card.  At the finish they'll receive their 5th card and have a poker hand.  NO TRADING CARDS!  The winning hand will win a grand prize of a free night's stay at the Cherokee Casino in Siloam Springs!  The losing hand will receive a prize as well, and there will be door prizes given out through drawings.  ***Please note, the focus on this is the run, it's not a race.  1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male and female will be recognized, but there is no official timing.  Times will be read as runners cross the finish line but will not be recorded.
How much does it cost?
Entry fee for the 5K is $20.  Each 5K participant will receive a Fayetteville 5K Poker Run pint glass.  After the race, those 21+ can use their pint glass for a limited supply of free beer from West Mountain.  Those underage or non-beer drinkers can fill theirs with a non-alcoholic drink.  Sorry, no refunds, but transferring your entry to someone else is fine.
Want to help the charity, but can't participate?  No problem.  Just scroll down below to the PayPal button, and enter as a "virtual participant" for $10.
When and where does it start?
The 5K will start at 10:00 am up on the Fayetteville Square in front of West Mountain on Saturday, March 8th. There is a link to the 5K course map on the side bar (same hilly course as last year!).
