The Fayette District is one of four districts that make up the Flint River Council in North Central Georgia just below the Atlanta metropolitan area.  The District Staff provides administrative and operational support to local Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, and Venturing Crews.  Approximately 1800 youth comprise the membership of the 45 districts units.

As the former Sepohayetv name fades into history; for the record we can still recall its meaning and pronunciation and remember it fondly.

How to pronounce the former district name:  The name of our district comes from the Creek Indian vocabulary.  When broken into it parts - "Sepo" means river; "hayetv" means to make or prepare.  Pronounciation guides for the Creek Indian language indicate the "v" in "hayetv" is pronounced as a "u" in current usage.  So the correct way to say our district name is
"SE-PO-HAY-E-TU"

SE-PO-HAY-E-TU
