Dead Animal Removal

This is a brand new program created in 2012 for livestock owners to utilize. In the past, animals were left to decompose in our fields and streams. This being a polluting source could spread contamination and hazardous diseases through the land and water sources. The Fayette County Conservation District now will reimburse up to $60.00 on any pick up removal of a dead livestock animal by a certified state company. Reimbursement of $35.00 for a self delivery to an appropriate site facility. No reimbursement for diagnostic lab deliveries. You have 2 months from date on invoice to file your rebate. Original receipt must be presented to qualify for payment. Either mail in your receipt or bring it by our office at 141 Leestown Center Way, Suite 210. Contact person is Melinda Kemper 254-5806/3. Checks will be mailed monthly after each board meeting. Funding is limited and available until depleted. Arrangements for livestock removal are made by you the land owner.
