Welcome to the website for the Fayette County Genealogical Society located in Washington Court House, Ohio. We meet at the Carnegie Public Library, 127 South North Street, in the meeting room at 7:00 pm on the third Monday of each month except for the months of May (our First Family Dinner), June and July (vacation months), August (our annual picnic) and December (our Christmas Dinner). The location for these special occasions are announced at the prior meeting.
We are discussing changing meeting dates to March to December. We will not meet in January or February. During the summer months, we plan to go on some field trips and do research.
FCGS will meet Monday, April 20, at 7:00 PM in the meeting room of the Carnegie Library. Ask a friend to attend the meeting with you.
A new book is in the works. It's called "Naturalizations Records". It is not a complete record, but covers the years 1880-1928. A lot of names are misspelled. It will be available soon.
The public is always welcome!
