True Bumper Sticker Testimonial

Hi!

First off, its been so lovely getting to know all of you through mom's group.  I really mean it and hope to see you guys around town this summer.  Our Tuesdays will seem bare!

Second, remember that cool presentation Carol and Kelly gave on the Divine Mercy?  Remember the card with the image of Jesus, that was painted to resemble St. Faustina's visions?

OK, so we were walking down Langdon Street yesterday, aka UW's Fraternity Row, when we came upon one of those pillars where everyone posts their fliers.  They're usually with stuff for college kids and can get quite questionable, if you know what I mean.  Well, this one was vandalized... someone set fire to it and it is CHARRED.  There are only a few fliers still on the pillar and they're almost unrecognizable with soot and being half burned...

EXCEPT...

... at the top of one of the sides of the pillar, there is a bumper sticker with the divine mercy image and the Phrase 'Jesus, I trust in You.'  The edges are slightly burnt but otherwise its in almost perfect condition.  Its the only thing remotely recognizable and I don't think thats a coincidence.  Its really amazing and if you can get to Langdon before they replace the pillar its a really cool thing.

Take care of yourselves and your families!

“Write down these words, My daughter. Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My mercy; let them profit from the Blood and Water which gushed forth for them”. (Diary 848)

PRAYERS

Here is a prayer composed by St. Gemma Galgani to obtain a desired grace:

Behold me at Your most holy feet, O dear Jesus, to manifest to you my gratitude for the continual favors which You have bestowed upon me, and still wish to bestow upon me. As many times as I have invoked You, O Jesus, You have made me content; I have often had recourse to You and You have always consoled me. How shall I express myself to You, dear Jesus? I thank you! Yet one more grace I desire of you, O my God, if it would be pleasing to You (here mention your request). If you were not omnipotent, I would not make this request. O Jesus, have pity on me. May your most holy will be done in all things"

Prayer to Saint Therese of the Child Jesus

O Little Therese of the Child Jesus,

Please pick a rose for me

From the heavenly gardens

And send it to me

As a message of love.

O little flower of Jesus,

Ask God today to grant the favors

I now place with confidence In your hands.

(Mention your specific requests)

St. Therese,

help me to always believe,

As you did,

In God's great love for me,

So that I might imitate your

"Little Way" each day.

Amen

PRAYER TO ST. RAPHAEL THE ARCHANGEL

Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners.I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the “medicine of God” I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my body. I especially ask of you the favor (here mention your special intention), and the great grace of purity to prepare me to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Divine Mercy Sunday is celebrated on the Octave of Easter 2016 (the Sunday after Easter Sunday). Answer: Divine Mercy Sunday falls on April 23, 2017.  Easter is April 16th, 2017.   When to go to confession for Divine Mercy indulgence?  View this link.

While I was saying the chaplet, I heard a voice which said, Oh, what great graces I will grant to souls who say this chaplet; the very depths of My tender mercy are stirred for the sake of those who say the chaplet. Write down these words, My daughter.

Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My mercy; let them profit from the Blood and Water which gushed forth for them." - Jesus to St. Faustina

A Nice Note From Francis Cardinal George of Chicago

He received one of our Divine Mercy Magnets for his refrigerator prior to his death in 2015.

"Why should you help promote the Divine Mercy image of Jesus?"

"Souls who spread the honor of My mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death I will not be a Judge for them, but the Merciful Savior. At that last hour, a soul has nothing with which to defend itself except My mercy. Happy is the soul that during its lifetime immersed itself in the Fountain of Mercy, because justice will have no hold on it."

"By means of this image, I shall be granting many graces to souls; so let every soul have access to it." (Diary, 570)

"I desire that the image be publicly honored." (Diary, 414)

The Divine Mercy Pope

“It is not charity to leave others in the dark with respect to the truth.

It is not charity to feed the poor or visit the sick and offer them human resources without speaking to them of the Word that saves.”  Pope John Paul ll (LOsservatore Romano, English, November 6, 2002)

A Real Divine Mercy Story

“To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” = St. Thomas Aquinas

www

Thank you for visiting my site.  Like many people, I share the desire to promote the Divine Mercy devotion and image of Jesus to other people.

Back in the 1990's, I was first introduced to the Divine Mercy devotion via the diary of St. Faustina.  Like many, I was captured by the powerful dialogue between Jesus and St. Faustina.   Heaven, hell and purgatory. All are explained.  No one can read the words of Jesus without being touched.

Hell is real, and as Jesus says in the bible, "the road to perdition is wide." However, the mercy of Jesus is greater.  According to St. Faustina, He makes mercy accessible to all.

Worship God above all things.  Ask God for help in all things. When you fall and sin, Jesus is there to forgive you.  All you have to do is ask for His mercy. No matter how dark the sin, the mercy of Jesus greater.

Jesus makes many promises to those who pray the Divine Mercy chaplet, promote the Divine Mercy devotion, and who exercise mercy in their life.  He makes many promises, some written on this website, of the graces you receive from venerating and bringing His Divine Mercy image to others. Your salvation is assured.  As he says below to St. Faustina:

Anyway, about ten years ago, I was praying the Divine Mercy chaplet before I went to work. On my wall, is the above crucifix.  While I was praying the chaplet for my family, I looked over to the crucifix.

Exactly over the heart on the crucifix appeared a small circle.  Out of the circle came the rays of red and white, exactly as depicted in the Divine Mercy picture you see on this page.  The red rays on right, the white on the left.  As you can imagine, it was something I was not expecting nor looking for.

It was real. Very real. The red that came out of the crucifix was blood red. The same color as if you cut your finger.  The white was like looking into the sun. The brightest white I had ever seen, however, it did not hurt my eyes. The rays of red and white were coming from within the crucifix, it was not a reflection of light, etc.

I then sat down and continued to pray.  I then eventually finished the chaplet and went to work.  Afterword, I kept this event to myself, except for my wife and children for many years.

When something like this happens to a person, the last thing you want is to tell people about it.  It is a gift from God, and no human affirmation is needed or desired.   I have an aunt who was in the hospital for cancer.  3 angels appeared to her and told her she would be cured, and could go home.  The same thing.  Other than her husband, she did not feel the need to share the story.  After about 10 years, I have decided to post this experience on my website for others to share and to give hope.

Because of this event, it lead me to promote the Divine Mercy devotion and the Divine Mercy image of Jesus, like so many other people.  On street sign displays, billboards in stores like St. Vinney's or by putting a Divine Mercy prayer card or small magnets in the back of church. It makes no difference how you choose to promote the Divine Mercy devotion.

As Jesus says, people receive a certain grace simply from seeing His divine mercy image. We cannot begin to understand this promise but He does ask us to bring this image to all people.

Jesus has blessed us all with signs of encouragement along the way. It is His way of encouraging us to fight the good fight, and to bring His message of mercy.  As Jesus says, this devotion is a sign of the end times.  It's up to us to help save as many souls as possible with the brief life He has given us.

I am not a saint, a visionary or anything extraordinary. I fall short like everyone else.  But God can use ordinary people to bring this devotion and His mercy to others.

As Jesus told St. Faustina below, he will be with you at the moment of your death if you venerate His Divine Mercy image and bring it to others:

"I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over [its] enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I Myself will defend it as My own glory." (Diary, 48)

Why Promote the Divine Mercy image of Jesus?

Because Jesus told St. Faustina to bring this image to everyone, including the public.........

"By means of this image, I shall be granting many graces to souls; so let every soul have access to it." (Diary, 570)

"I desire that the image be publicly honored." (Diary, 414)

What is Divine Mercy?

The Chaplet of The Divine Mercy

How to Recite the Chaplet

The Chaplet of Mercy is recited using ordinary rosary beads of five decades. The Chaplet is preceded by two opening prayers from the Diary of Saint Faustina and followed by a closing prayer.

1. Make the Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

2. Optional Opening Prayers

You expired, Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls, and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy, envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.

(Repeat three times)

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

3. Our Father

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

4. Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

5. The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

6. The Eternal Father

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

7. On the Ten Small Beads of Each Decade

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

8. Repeat for the remaining decades

Saying the "Eternal Father" (6) on the "Our Father" bead and then 10 "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion" (7) on the following "Hail Mary" beads.

9. Conclude with Holy God (Repeat three times)

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

10. Optional Closing Prayer

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
