AGM 2015

Federation of Anglo Swiss Clubs
Annual General Meeting of the Executive Council
Saturday, March 28, 2015

Eleven of thirteen Federation clubs attended this year's Annual General Meeting which was held at the International School of Berne in Gümligen.
Chris Warren, President of the Swiss British Society Berne, organized the day's events.

Andreas Schmid, President, welcomed 19 representatives to the meeting.  In his Presdent's report he reflected on the six months since our last council meeting, which included another successful Weekend, held in October 2014 in Interlaken. The Winter Ski Weekend from February did not take place but hopefully could be added back to the calendar in 2016.

Two committee resignations were recognized, those being Francis Martin as Treasurer and Stephen Butterworth as Webmaster. Both were thanked for their years of exemplary service to the Federation and were presented with a gift and a big round of applause.  Claude Böhler, ASC Basel was elected as succeeding Treasurer and Nigel Coombs, ASC Fribourg as Webmaster.

Remaining committee members and support team were re-elected, including Vicky Bodmer, Secretary and Hansruedi Fritscher, Auditor.

Other topics for discussion included the upcoming 2015 Weekend in Bad Zurzach, the ongoing inter-club bowling competition, this year's golf day to be held September 4 at the Wallenried Golf and Country Club and the 2016 Weekend being planned by ASC Fribourg.

The meeting was followed by an apero and lunch and the day concluded with a guided tour of the Berner Münster in the old city.
