Far Point Animal Rescue
our story and how you can help us help animals in need
Our rescue misson, founded by Patricial and Franklin Sterner, began with the arrival of a blind hourse named Mia in September of 1996.  Soon other horses with various problems were brought to our door and we quickly built more stalls and modified existing buildings to accommodate them.  Requests also came for help for other species and before long we found ourselves caring for goats, rabbits, chickens, cats and dogs and yes, even parrots.
The loving care which each animal who comes to Far Point receives includes diets and treatments geared specifically to his or her individual needs.  Animals who are well enough may be adopted into loving homes.  Others live out their lives at Far Point.
