I held leadership positions and roles on various capacities. My involvement in research, the university senate and a Toastmasters club affords me numerous opportunities to improve communication skills and negotiation tactics, to gain sense of responsibility and fulfillment, and to become person of creative problem solving. Below are some highlights:

  • I served as the vice chair at the University of Minnesota Student Senate from Sep 2016 to Jun 2017. The Student Senate has system-wide representation across all University of Minnesota system campuses (Twin Cities, Crookston, Duluth, Morris and Rochester).
  • Prior to my vice chair role, I was elected through all campus election to CFANS graduate student senator.
  • I was the chair of 2016 spring speech contest of a Toastmasters club called Golden Toasters.
  • I won the Table Topics contest in Golden Toasters 2016 summer speech contest.
  • I took initiative to create extra class materials when I was a teaching assistant for a class taught by a practitioner from Cargill.
