European taste and food biennal

Organised by the association Euro Gusto, in close partnership with Slow Food, Slow Food France, the City of Tours, the regional council of the Centre, this event will include :



A "made in Slow Food" salon

European gastronomy treasures salon

50 to 100 products of the Ark of Taste and Sentinels.

European genuine flavour market

200 to 300 products recognized by a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) or supported by a Slow Food Convivium.


Workshops

Taste Workshops, "Slow Fooding", Wine bar, etc...


A Terra Madre for Young Europeans Forum


Co-organized with the Youth Food Movement and gathering together 500 to 1,000 under 35 year old people (farmers, chefs, journalists, students, apprentices, etc.).

Through this new international event, our aim is to promote European food culture and background based on an amazing heritage of plant species, animal breeds, techniques and know-how. And their handing down should be assured to upcoming generations.


The first ever Euro Gusto event will be taking place from 27th to 30th November 2009, in the Parc des Expositions in Tours.
