Joan Sullivan is an educator who LOVES working with children in an informal, sometimes chaotic, and always fun environment. Joan has a Masters degree in Teaching from Boston College and a Bachelors degree from Holy Cross, is currently Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics at North Shore Community College, and taught math at Pingree School in Hamilton, Massachusetts. Joan is the founder of Family Math & Science Fun and has provided enrichment for grades K - 5 since 2002.  Mary Hatton, EdD, is a science education consultant, Adjunct Professor of Biology and Science Education at Endicott College, in Beverly, Massachusetts, and former middle school teacher who now trains college students to be teachers. She was recently recognized as the 2010 Essex County Science Teacher of the Year by the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers.  She brings extensive knowledge of science curriculum requirements, learning through inquiry, and a love of science to all of our events. Mary is a member of various state organizations that promote science literacy, the Board of Massachusetts Association for Science Teachers, and a Key Leader for the National Science Teachers Association "Building a Presence in Massachusetts." She has been involved in Family Math & Science Fun since 2007.
