Who We Are

Families for Children International(FFCI), based in Utah, is proud to present Project SOR: Standing for Orphan's Rights. We believe that all children deserve basic rights: an education, a safe environment, and love. This effort involves helping orphans in Ghana in the following ways: building/improving FFCI's new school house, tutoring/teaching orphaned children, providing for their essential needs, and giving them our love.

How can I get involved?

There are a few different ways to get involved.

Travel abroad with us

In 2008, two teams were able to do some great work in Ghana! While no current large group projects are planned, we continue to send individual and small groups as we have done since 2005. Join us and be intimately involved with bringing joy to children in need. Contact us for more details.

Volunteer on the homefront

Want to help, but can't go abroad? You can help out wherever you are! Go to the Contact Us page, and put "volunteer home" in the subject line.  Please include how you would like to help: fundraising, marketing, website development, or any special talent you know can help!

If you don't have much time, but still want to help stand for orphan's rights, FFCI always welcomes donations! As a 501(c)3, all donations are tax deductable.  Please click on the button at the top of the screen to send a secure donation through PayPal, or call Blaine and Catherine Porter, FFCI founders, to find out more about how your donations will be used.  Even a simple $5 or $10 dollars can buy food for a day or buy paint to liven up classrooms!
