Home book about the village Kaulbach

From home book about the village Kaulbach. It contains edited lists for taxes for different time periods. It is also a good resurce for family research because it lists the households with it's family chiefs:

1744

(5) probabely the number of the property) Philipp Gödels Erben (Erben = heirs, that means that he was already dead at this time)

(Ha. Ho. Gü.) (means house, farm and property) 45 Gulden (45 guilder, that was the fortune) (Ha. Ho. Gü.) (means house, farm and property) 45 Gulden (45 guilder, that was the fortune) In the same book for 1706 and 1724 a Nickel Gödel is mentioned. He is the father of Philipp. In the list of 1684 they are missing. Certain in a consequence of the "Dreißigjährigen Krieg" (1618-1648). The most of the population in Germany and especially in the Palatinate died in that time. This was a horrible war and it is a miraculous that we do exist. In 1590 and

1600 a Nickel Göttel is listed as a mayor in Kaulbach. 1497 first one Gedel is listed as the miller of "Schmeißbach" (place near Kaulbach). This name "Gedel" was still the "first name" that time and became the "surname" between 1590 and 1600. To the in 1497, 1590 and 1600 listed Gödel's I didn’t find a direct connection yet, but I'll work on it.
