Friends of March is thrilled to announce our first annual FAMEfest, a benefit concert for Francis Andrew March Elementary School, featuring The Jeff “Tain” Watts Quartet. A living jazz legend, Jeff “Tain” Watts, resides and records here on College Hill.  He will be performing with his band at the Williams Center for the Arts (Lafayette College) on Saturday, February 15th.  Don’t miss this opportunity to hear world class, renowned jazz right in your backyard!  This concert is presented in association with the Williams Center for the Arts and the Landis Center for Community Engagement at Lafayette College.


Jeff “Tain” Watts is a 7 time Grammy award winner and Guggenheim Fellow.  As a drummer and percussionist, he played his formative years with Wynton and Branford Marsalis.  He now commands equal attention as a composer and band leader.  He has an extensive discography with many of the top names in jazz as well as 10 albums as a band leader.  His Quartet is made up of award-winning musicians including Gregoire Manet on harmonica, Yunior Terry on bass and Paul Bollenbach on guitar. 


Kicking off FAMEfest will be Ito and the Moonlight Hippies.  They will be performing in the lobby of the Williams Center beginning at 6PM. Ito and the Moonlight Hippies are an original psychedelic, spirit jam, rock band out of Easton (including two of our very own March School alumni).

Ticket prices start at  $25 (Pay What You Want: $25, $35, $45, $55, $65, or $75) and special seating for $100.   With help from Watts Music Company, all proceeds from the concert will benefit Friends of March, a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization dedicated to raising funds to enhance Francis Andrew March Elementary School on College Hill in Easton.  The money raised from this concert will be used towards the purchase of a new sound system significantly improving all school and community events held in the auditorium/cafetorium there.


Ticket prices: "Pay What You Want" start at $25. Preferred seating is also available starting at $100.

Friends of March is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization dedicated to raising funds to enhance Francis Andrew March Elementary School. All donations will be used for the betterment of the school, including historical displays, permanent fixtures, and other innovations.
