I am a 5th year PhD student in the Computational Cognitive Science lab at UC Berkeley

My research combines machine learning and artificial intelligence with computational models of cognition and behavioral experiments to reverse engineer and enhance human intelligence.

Research Program
My goal is to develop tools and theories for enhancing the human mind and unlocking its full potential. My approach starts from developing computational models of bounded rationality and cognitive plasticity. Based on these models, I leverage methods from machine learning and artificial intelligence to develop tools that compensate for people's cognitive limitations and interventions for promoting cognitive growth. My current focus is on developing an optimal feedback mechanism for accelerating metacognitive learning, and I am also working towards a cognitive prosthesis that will translate people's long-term goals into incentives for immediate action.
