Cardiff & Municipal Bowling League - Changes to rule 2, 2A, 2B, 3(Part 2), 5 and 9 for year 2019/2020
Law 2 _ - In the event of a side turning up for a League game short of a full side and having to play a triple instead of a four, the such triple or triples shall play with two bowls per player (i.e. 6 bowls in total) and shall have no deduction of shots at the end of the game.
Law 2(A) - The order of play upon the rink shall be that the two respective leads shall play two bowls alternately beginning with the rink which has either won the toss and chosen the order of play or won the previous end; the second of the rink comprising four players shall play his two bowls unopposed and the thirds and skips shall play their two bowls alternately in the same order as thier respective leads.
Law 2 (2B) - Any rink losing a player due to ill health during a game should be able to use a substitute for the remainder of the game.
If a substitute is not available then they should continue as a triple from the point when the player became ill and retired from the game, no points shall be deducted for each triple, such triple shall continue with Six (6) Bowls as described in Law 2 (A)
Part 2 - Results must be received by the League Coordinator within 3 WORKING days of the match being played. Sides failing to comply with this BYE LAW shall have 2 POINTS DEDUCTED for each offence.
Law 5 Rearrangement of matches - delete existing 2. insert
2. Matches may only be postponed during the season if:
(a) Clubs have 3 players or more playing members on National or International duties. Clubs that use this BYE-LAW must supply the names of those playing members to the League Secretay & League Co-ordinator, failure to comply with this BYE-LAW shall see the club in question having 10 points deducted for each occasion.
Law 9 Penalties for Non Compliance of any BYE-LAW - new law
Any Club that fails to adhere to any BYE-LAWS where punishment is not stated, shall have a automatic deduction of Points, up to 10 Points can be deducted the Management Committee decision shall be final.
