Pope & Somme Wetland Education Park - Opened in 2013, this former dump site is a restored wetland with native plantings, birdhouses, educational signage as well as benches and trash/recycle stations for visitors enjoyment. The park is an on-going educational site which includes annual maintenance efforts and activities by the League and the Youth Civic League. The site has the first recycle station on public property in the City of Norfolk.
