Thursday, May 17, 6:30-7:30pm
The Science Fair is a decades-old Fairlands tradition and a celebration of our students' passion for science!
Families can view science fair projects on the night of Open House, Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 6:30-7:30pm in the Multi Purpose Room. Projects will be turned in and set up on Tuesday, May 15, from 1:55pm - 4:00pm in the multi-purpose room.
Display boards will be available to any student after spring break. They can give a donation of $1-2.00 per board, but boards are available due to the generous support from our PTA.
Participation is optional for K-4th grade students and students can do one of 5 types of projects: an experiment, model, collection, observation or invention. Students who wish to do a project need only have parental permission. Please see BLUE handbook that was sent home or the link below.
Every 5th grader will do an individual experiment as a Science Fair Project. Students present proposals to Mrs. Holder as a way to ensure they are on the right track to properly include the steps of the scientific method with a measurable, testable question. Please see the YELLOW packet given only to 5th graders for proposal information or the link below.
