FacilityPortfolios.com was created by Kevin Folsom in an effort to more easily share his creative facilities management perspectives and resources.
Kevin has served at the Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) since 1988. He is the director of facilities and plant operations overseeing facility and land planning, construction, custodial, catering, facility use, space allocation, landscaping, maintenance, and utilities management. Prior to this with some overlap he served in residential and large estate new and renovation construction for 15 years.
As a graduate of the APPA (www.appa.org) Institute for Facilities Management, Institute for Facilities Finance, and Leadership Academy, he knows firsthand the value of high-quality facility management education and leadership. As a result he has developed presentations and tools that he voluntarily shares with peer educational institutions, and/or consults on an hourly or contract basis for more time consuming needs.
He provides facilities management ideas and tools to organizations of campuses, commercial facilities, and large estates that is empowering to bring highly complex facility needs of today into a manageable scope--not to be dependent upon him as consultancies tend to do.
