Introduction to LED Light Therapy

The term LED Light Therapy/ Photo Rejuvenation means to use an energy-delivering device to improve skin imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture, scars, hyper pigmentation, loose skin etc. It is an excellent choice when you opt to not have injectables or surgery, yet want great results at a fraction of the cost.

LED Light Therapy has been used for thousands of years by  ancient cultures; it is only recently that science has been able to explain these healing principals and apply them in a safe, efficient manner that exposes healing and anti-aging properties.

LED Light Therapy is the scientific application of light to a designated point on the body to produce  specific physiological results. There is often some confusion when discussing the behavior of light in tissue. When light is generated and travels through air, it is comprised of electro~magnetic waves, measured in nanometers (nm). However, it is the “energy” that we are most interested in. It is the proper combination of energy output, and the absorption of energy in the cell that assists in skin rejuvenation and anti-aging.

The activities that are caused by LED Light Therapy increase vascularity in the formation of new capillaries as well as help to replace the damaged ones. Certain wave lengths of light also aid in stimulating the production of collagen. The chemical compound ATP (adenosine triphosphate) is a major carrier of energy in cells and its release allows for a faster acceptance of nutrients in cells and the removal of toxins when stimulated by photo therapy. Increases in the lymphatic function also occur with the application of photo therapy.

The combination of amber and red LED light has proven to be the most powerful and effective way to create collagen and produce elastin, which are both responsible for youthful, healthy skin. This therapy has also been shown to  effectively treat acne, rosacea and eczema.

The Benefits

  • Increases the reproduction of collagen by 60% -80% (reducing wrinkles)
  • Creates skin moisture
  • Increases blood flow & circulation
  • Soothes & calms inflamed & irritated skin
  • Reduces melanin production, which causes sun /age spots
  • Helps reduce spider veins
  • Helps reduce out breaks of black heads & acne (the blue light specializes in this) & heals acne scaring
  • Helps speed up healing of wounds/cuts/bruises
  • Helps reduce the appearance of cellulite
  • Helps reduce the redness and dry skin that accompanies rosacea
  • Helps heal eczema and psoriasis

Micro-Current Therapy was originally developed for people with Bells Palsy, since it's invention we now find it also aids in reducing the signs of aging by utilizing a low level of electricity. These tiny micro-current impulses trigger chemical reactions at a cellular level to enhance the production of natural collagen and elastin provide circulatory benefits and work directly on the nerves and muscle fibers.

The result is visible firming and smoothing of the skin. Your body uses the Micro-current energy to increase its own energy production. Micro-current increases the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) by up to 500%. As we age, this current, which sends messages from the brain to the muscles via the spinal cord, does not send those messages properly.”

The Micro-current treatment restores those messages from the brain to tell the skin to rejuvenate. It helps tone facial muscles by replicating our own biological currents. That is why this treatment is such a safe alternative to some of the invasive and risky treatments on the market today.

The Benefits

  • Tightens & lifts the skin
  • Re-trains facial muscles
  • Smooths out  fine lines and wrinkles
  • Evens out skin tones
  • Helps improve skin texture
