I am an Associate Professor of Finance at Tilburg University. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad Carlos III of Madrid. Before joining Tilburg University as an Assistant Professor, I have been a CREA research fellow at Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona. I am in the executive board of the European Banking Center and CentER fellow.

My research interests cover theoretical Banking and Corporate Finance. In particular, financial fragility, liquidity, interbank markets, and Central Bank policies. I am also interested in technological progress and competition. My research has been published in the Journal of Finance; Management Science; Review of Finance; Journal of Financial Intermediation; Journal of Money, Credit and Banking; Journal of Banking and Finance; and Macroeconomic Dynamics.
